The 2023 vintage, our first, sold out in just a few weeks, but fear not we are bringing back the same assemblage for the 2024 vintage.
Similar to 2023, the 2024 vintage, is a blend of 90% Grüner Veltliner and 10% Chenin Blanc -- full disclosure there is also tiny amount of Semillon, Roussanne and Roter Veltliner. The Grüner Veltliner is from both Kapitel Zwei Wine and from my friends at Feldtheorie.
The organic grapes were handpicked on 8 September 2024. The must underwent spontaneous fermentation for 14 days followed by malolatic fermentation where it is now aging in amphora on the gross lees until the end of 2025.
"No Alibi" is the name of the vintage. Why? The 2023 vintage was called "Alibi" because I was in New York for the harvest for my studies -- a pretty good alibi, if I do say. The 2024 vintage is all on me.
The wine is bottled in 500ml brown glass bottles. It will be extremely limited to less than 105 bottles. Each bottle will be individually hand stamped with its serial number.
